Your budget is totally unrealistic for what you hope to achieve. Everywhere there are lower cabinets, use big deep drawers - you will love them! Your dish cabinets should go over that peninsula space and be double-sided so dishes can be reached from both sides - easy to set the table This will leave you a great space for prep work - a nice long, L-shaped run of counter. Move your sink to the peninsula wall but put the DW where the refrigerator now is. Get a counter-depth refrigerator so it doesn't stick out too far into that traffic area. If you could move your refrigerator to that short wall that backs up to the LR, it would give you more counter space. ![]() ![]() It will be a tight fit and be very much in the way of your traffic pattern. Then, one also needs to get on the kitchen company's schedule which could add more time to it. But a good mid-level cabinet is going to cost you twice your budget, and the order time is typically 6-8 weeks. It's not that bad re-doing a kitchen, and if one is truly organized, it can be done in a reasonable time frame. You really need to take your time on this. You can't even pick just ONE of these things and have it work!
